SMART CLEANER FOR IPHONE
Privacy Policy
Effective August 19, 2026
Smart Cleaner is an on-device storage cleaner. Your photos, videos, contacts, and calendar events never leave your iPhone. There is no account, no server, no analytics, and no network layer for your media at all.
Data collected
None. Smart Cleaner does not collect, store, or transmit personal data to the developer or to anyone else. There is no analytics package, no crash reporter that sends data off the device, no advertising, and no tracking across apps or websites.
There is no account to create and no sign-in. The app works the same whether or not the device is online.
What the app accesses, and why
Photos, read: to measure what your library is using and to find large videos, duplicates, and low-quality shots. Photos, add: to save a compressed copy back to your library. Originals are only removed when you explicitly choose to remove them.
Contacts: to find duplicate contact entries, compared on the device. Calendars: to find events old enough to be worth clearing, read on the device only.
Declining any prompt disables that one feature and nothing else. You can withdraw any permission at any time in iOS Settings under Privacy and Security.
Where processing happens
Compression uses your iPhone's own hardware video encoder. No file is uploaded to be processed. Duplicate and quality detection uses Apple's Vision framework, which runs entirely on the device.
The index — the app's record of what it has scanned — is a SQLite file inside the app's own container, excluded from backup. Deleting the app deletes it. Storage readings for the forecast are a single capacity number per day, kept on the device and used only to draw the trend you see in the app.
Purchases
Premium features are sold through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Payment is handled entirely by Apple under Apple's own privacy policy. The developer never sees your name, payment method, or billing address. The app checks purchase status with StoreKit on your device, and that check does not identify you to us.
Required-reason APIs
Apple requires apps to declare certain system APIs. Smart Cleaner's privacy manifest declares exactly three and uses each only for the purpose stated: disk space (85F4.1) to show how full the device is and what cleaning would recover; user defaults (CA92.1) to remember your own settings; and file timestamp (C617.1) to sort and group items by date.
Children
Smart Cleaner is rated 4+ and contains no objectionable content, no user-generated content, no messaging, no advertising, and no web browsing. Because it collects no data at all, it collects no data from children.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new date. Because the app collects nothing, any change would be a clarification rather than a new use of your data.
