Smart Cleaner is an on-device storage cleaner. Your photos, videos, contacts, and calendar events never leave your iPhone. There is no account, no server, no analytics, and no network layer for your media at all.

  • Apple Vision compares images to find duplicates and low-quality shots.
  • The hardware video encoder re-encodes videos to HEVC.
  • Live Photos are converted to stills locally.
  • Contacts and calendar entries are compared locally when you use those tools.

Handled by Apple

  • In-App Purchases and all payment details.
  • Subscription management, renewal, and cancellation.
  • iCloud Photos, if you have it enabled — the app only reads what iOS exposes.

Product measurement

There is none. Smart Cleaner ships no analytics SDK and sends no product-measurement events of any kind, opt-in or otherwise. Nothing about your usage reaches the developer.
