CLIPAURA FOR IPHONE

Privacy Policy

Effective September 18, 2026

ClipAura is a creative iOS video studio. Ordinary editing, captions, subject cutout, projects, and exports stay on your device. A private Firebase identity stores onboarding choices, and hosted AI receives your media only after ClipAura names the provider and you approve the request.

On-device creation

ClipAura reads photos and videos only after you grant Photos access. Cutting, transitions, colour filters, captions, subject cutout, timeline editing, and export run on your device. Projects and exported files stay in the app container or in Photos when you choose Save.

Microphone access is used only when you record a voiceover. Speech Recognition access is used for on-device captions. You can change these permissions at any time in iOS Settings.

Private account and cloud profile

ClipAura automatically creates a private Firebase guest identity so onboarding choices can be saved securely. The cloud profile can include a Firebase user identifier, role, interests, style choices, onboarding progress, and an optional display name.

Sign in with Apple is optional. If you choose it, Firebase Authentication may receive the private relay or other email address Apple provides, along with the name you choose to share. Apple sign-in upgrades the guest identity so the profile can be restored on another device.

Hosted AI

Before any hosted AI request, ClipAura tells you what will be shared and which company will receive it, and asks for your permission. Nothing is sent until you agree, and you can decline and keep working on the device.

Depending on the feature you choose, your prompt and any reference image, video frame, or audio you select are sent through ClipAura's secured Firebase service to one of four providers: BytePlus, for Seedance video generation and Seedream images; Google, for Gemini video and Imagen images; OpenAI, for GPT Image generation, caption transcription, and prompt suggestions; and D-ID, for AI Presenter videos. Each provider receives only the media and text needed for the request you made, and nothing else from your account.

The service stores the account identifier, model task identifier, timestamps, task status, and daily usage count so it can return the result, resume pending work, and control abuse. Do not submit media you do not have permission to share.

Face and likeness data

The AI Presenter is the only feature that collects face data, and only if you choose to use it. You either supply a portrait photo or record a short selfie clip with the front camera. When you record a clip, ClipAura extracts one still frame and never retains the recording. That single portrait is stored only on your iPhone, inside the app's own Application Support container. It is not written to your photo library and it is not held on any ClipAura server.

Nothing is uploaded until you ask for a presenter video. When you do, that one portrait frame and your script are sent through ClipAura's secured Firebase service to D-ID, which renders the lip-synced result. D-ID receives the image and the script together with a one-way SHA-256 hash that stands in for your account. Your Firebase identifier, display name, and email address are never sent to D-ID.

The uploaded portrait is stored privately for a maximum of 24 hours so the render can finish and resume if it is interrupted, then a scheduled job deletes it automatically. It is deleted immediately if the render fails, and the whole folder is erased when you delete your ClipAura account. Removing the portrait in the app deletes the local copy straight away.

ClipAura does not use face data to identify or recognise anyone, does not create a face template or faceprint, does not use it to train any model, and does not sell it or share it with anyone other than D-ID for the render you asked for.

Two related features collect no face data at all. Face ID, if you turn on Safe Guard, is handled entirely by iOS: the match happens in the device's Secure Enclave and ClipAura receives only a yes-or-no answer, never any biometric information. Subject cutout uses Apple's on-device Vision framework to separate a subject from its background; it needs no network connection, identifies nobody, and nothing leaves your iPhone.

Payments

Apple processes subscriptions and payment details. ClipAura receives StoreKit product and entitlement information but never receives your full payment-card details. Subscriptions can be restored in the app and managed in your Apple Account settings.

Tracking and advertising

ClipAura does not sell personal information, show third-party advertising, or track you across other companies' apps or websites. The app does not use the advertising identifier.

Retention and deletion

Local projects remain until you delete them or remove the app. The cloud profile and AI task metadata remain while the private account exists.

A portrait uploaded for an AI Presenter render is kept for at most 24 hours and then deleted automatically. The reusable portrait on your iPhone stays until you replace or remove it, or until you delete the app.

Open Profile, then Account, then Delete ClipAura account to permanently delete the Firebase identity, cloud profile, AI usage, and AI task history. Local projects remain on that device so account deletion does not unexpectedly destroy personal files. App Store subscriptions must be cancelled separately in Apple's subscription settings.

Children

ClipAura is a general-audience creative tool and is not directed to children under 13. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from a child without the permission required by applicable law.

Changes and contact
