Data stored on your device

ResumeStudio stores your résumé documents and photos, versions, layouts, cover letters, applications, contacts, offers, interview work, selected source files, AI results, settings, processing history, and the last verified StoreKit entitlement needed for secure offline access.

Voice-practice recordings remain local. When you request AI feedback, the transcript and delivery measurements may be sent, but not the raw recording.

On-device intelligence and OCR

Selected screenshots, images, and scanned documents can be read with Apple Vision on your device. On supported Apple Intelligence devices, suitable lightweight writing and extraction tasks may use Apple’s on-device Foundation Models framework. Content handled entirely on device is not sent to ResumeStudio, Firebase, or OpenAI.

Free users receive on-device assistance first when it is available. Connected fallback is off by default and can be enabled explicitly; it may use the credits displayed for the action. Go and Pro users receive the higher-quality connected AI service first, with on-device assistance used only as a private fallback for eligible temporary failures.

Connected AI processing

Connected AI runs only after you select an AI action. Requests pass through ResumeStudio’s Firebase backend to OpenAI. The backend uses Firebase App Check, fixed supported actions, usage limits, structured responses, and requests that OpenAI does not store the response for later retrieval.

Writing requests exclude names, phone numbers, email addresses, references, profile photographs, attached source files, interview links, interviewer names, and private source URLs. The minimum relevant redacted résumé or career evidence is sent for the selected task. You can pause AI and exclude Evidence Vault items in Privacy Centre.

Privacy-safe product measurement

Anonymous product insights are off by default. If you opt in, the app sends only allow-listed coarse event names, plan tier, AI route, app version, and a coarse onboarding goal. Events never include résumé text, identity, contact details, job descriptions, company names, URLs, document contents, advertising identifiers, or a persistent analytics identifier. The server stores aggregate daily counts, not a user activity timeline, and automatically deletes those aggregate documents after 90 days.

iCloud, accounts, and hosted features

If you enable document sync, ResumeStudio stores a workspace archive in your private iCloud container under your Apple Account. Firebase may store authentication records, saved AI results, AI-credit usage, referral records, entitlement verification, public CV-page metadata, trackable-link metadata, and hosted Review Room content needed to provide those features.

Publishing a CV page, trackable résumé link, or Review Room uploads the exact PDF you select, which may contain personal information you placed in that PDF. Links can be withdrawn, revoked, or deleted by their owner.

Purchases

Apple processes purchases and payment details. ResumeStudio receives signed transaction information such as product identifier, status, purchase date, and expiration date to unlock access and enforce allowances. ResumeStudio does not receive card or bank details.

Data sharing and tracking

ResumeStudio does not sell personal data, show third-party advertising, or track you across other companies’ apps and websites. Service providers receive data only to provide authentication, cloud functions, AI processing, purchase verification, optional iCloud sync, or explicitly published hosted features.

Retention and deletion

On-device data remains until you delete it or remove the app. iCloud data remains until you erase the archive. Saved AI work remains in Firebase until you delete it or your account. Hosted links end on expiry, revocation, withdrawal, or deletion. Optional aggregate product metrics expire automatically after 90 days.

Settings lets you separately delete the server account, on-device workspace, iCloud archive, AI history, and career intelligence. Deleting an account does not cancel an App Store subscription.

Children, changes, and contact

ResumeStudio is not directed to children under 13. This policy will be updated before material processing changes take effect.
